The Conservation-Restoration of a painting by renowned artist Giuseppe Cali (1846-1930). This painting is representing Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane.
This painting exhibited canvas deformations, detachments and flaking of the paint layer. The aged and oxidised varnish coating was also obscuring the original hues used by the artist
