These 19th century early 20th century wall paintings were found to exhibit major detachments and voids between the paint/ preparation layers and the underlying stone support. Roughly executed infills (stuccature) and amateur retouchings are also present in various locations. The murals also exhibit layers of dust deposits and grime. At present these murals are being consolidated and stabilised.
